Marianne "Monte" West, 64, died Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at her home. Visitation will be 5-8pm on Thursday, May 29, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. A memorial service will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, May 30, 2014, at Wells United Methodist Church in Jackson.

Monte was born October 12, 1949 to John O. West and Imogene Williams West. She taught 2nd grade Sunday School Class at Wells Church, active in Mississippi Methodist Cursillo, local community theatres, Actors Playhouse and Fondren Theatre Workshop.

Survivors include her daughter, Juniper (Delwin) Wallace; mother, Gene Turner; fiance, Chuck Cuendet; grandchildren, Ian, Max and Kalen; cousin and caregiver, Lou Brooks; her "Light Bulb," Jessyi Reed and her cat, Fonzie. She was preceded in death by her father, John West and step father, Hudson Turner.
