After High School I Married Bobby Guerra (he went to Ysleta) who used to play trumpet with A GROUP CALLED EL PASO, they performed at the Que Que Club. We went on tour (the band) where I got to live in Maui and Kauai for 9 months. Hawaii was amazing! After Hawaii we flew back to LA and then traveled by vans all the way to Canada where we lived another 6 months. The memories of being a wife on tour with a Rock Group survived, the marriage didn't. After 4 yrs. of marriage (no kids) we divorced. I worked at EL Paso Natural Gas Co. for several years enjoying the single life again and for fun started Competitively Disco Dancing!! What a fun time, I had a partner named Armando Pena and we won many, many dance contests together. (picture on bottom was taken at THE PLACE in East El Paso during a dance competition). I decided to tryout for DIABLO CHEERLEADER IN 1978 and made the squad for 2 yrs. (Picture of that below also) While dancing on the dugout at the Diablo Games I met the LOVE of my life Jerry Brierton from Dallas. We married Oct. 3, 1981. Moved to California with husband Jerry in 1981, lived in Calabasas Calif. 3 yrs. first child Jayme born in Calif. Moved back to Garland Texas for 4 yrs. 2nd child Sean born there, moved back to El Paso briefly in 89 and 90, then moved to our current home in Double Oak TX where I had my last child Allie at the age of 41. Was a Stay-At-Home mom for 15 years and became a Personal Trainer then. In 2004 I went to work Part-time as a Nail Tech at the Fabulous Gaylord Texan Hotel in Grapevine Texas where I am still there after 12 years. My oldest Daughter Jayme was a University of Texas Longhorn Cheerleader and graduated in 2004, she is now married to AN AGGIE FOOTBALL PLAYER!!! They have 3 small boys. My youngest is a teacher and my son a mechanic. They all live near me.

An update on my husband of 35 yrs. He was diagnosed with stage 3 Colon cancer in 14, finished chemo in Feb. 15 and has had all negative cat scans since feb. 15. He is healthy and we are so blessed!

Probably a most memorable yet not favorite experience was when I was reaching for a pencil that Becky Torres was lending me in Chemistry Class during a test and my desk tipped completely over on it's side with me on it! It was a loud crash and of course wearing my signature short skirt made for a very embarrasing situation as my little skinny legs were thrashing about trying to get up.

I still remember cheerleading practice on the front lawn of the school and creating dances for Mrs. Blackstock's PE class. She loved me!

Crosno Hop is one of my favorite memories, going up to the studio on Saturdays with my sister and best friend Becky Torres and dancing on tv! So much fun!
