Every time I stopped by the Downtown Library, I would look Mike up to visit with him.  He often helped my son and me locating "hard to find" books, locally or through inter-library loan.  He would often inquire about our EPHS 69er classmates.  My son and I stopped by in late August, but we did not see him this time.  I now understand that he was under medical care at the time and did not make it through successfully.  Michael was a cool dude.  We'll miss his welcoming and cheerful smile.  RIP!

Mike was a real sweetie. As Mara said, he was a gentle soul. I got to know him better in the last few years and I'm so glad I did.
